Incredible response to the photo contest in Sioux Lookout.
The Municipality received 81 submissions showcasing the sights, places, events, traditions, and activities of the community.
Judging took place last week and first place was ‘Skating at Town Beach’ by Suzanne Hughdie.
Twylla Penner was second with her picture of the ‘Sioux Mountain Sunset Reflecting on the Ice.
A classic ‘Sioux Mountain Winter’ by Michael Starratt was third.
Officials stress only 12 points separated the top three in voting.
IT and Communications Coordinator Chris Pollard says judges did their best to ensure the winning photos weren’t just incredible to look at, but had a truly local connection.
All of the photos submitted for the contest may be used by the Municipality on its website as well as in marketing and promotional materials.
