Lest We Forget.
Thursday is Remembrance Day and once again the pandemic has forced changes in some communities.
The traditional ceremony at the Legion in Dryden will once again be virtual.

Carol Peterson and Karen Hewitson stress the wreath laying ceremony at the cenotaph at 11:00 am is open to the public.
They ask that everyone follow COVID rules and regulations.
Hewitson stresses she is hoping for a return to normal next year.
Peterson says despite the restrictions, it is important to be involved.
“We’re finding that a lot of the new generation that is coming up, we can put forth the importance of Remembrance Day, the significance of the poppy, and hopefully educate them and share them with the younger generations coming up, so they’ll continue on with the support and honouring our vets.”
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the poppy and its connection to Remembrance Day.
The ceremony at the Legion in Sioux Lookout will be open to the public.
Ear Falls is invite only.
Red Lake was planning an in-person ceremony outside but the inclement weather may throw a wrench into plans.
