The Kenora District Services Board has extended the deadline for its housing survey.
While all the community consultations have wrapped up, Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says they are still some segments of the area they want to get feedback from.
“There are some groups we know we still have to hear from,” says Wall.
“These are important issues when it comes to housing. For example, full accessible housing in our communities, especially families that have adult children that need purpose-built housing, not only in Kenora but across all communities.
Wall adds they want to hear from as many people as possible.
“We would love to do much more in respect to in-person meetings, it’s just with the current COVID restrictions, it puts some limitations on that. We’re hoping with enough outreach that we can hear from more people through the survey by extending it (the deadline).”
The deadline for the survey is November 12.
Wall is hoping a final report will be available in the next year.
