The Dryden Food Bank and Dryden GM Ice Dogs are teaming up to help the less fortunate in our community.
The theme is ‘It Takes A Team! Help Us Fight Hunger!’
Food Bank Manager Al Huckabay says donation bags will be handed out at Saturday night’s game and fans are encouraged to fill them with non-perishable food items and return them at the November 4 game.
Bags are also available at the Food Bank.
Instructions will be provided on what items are needed.
Huckabay says, “The hockey fans of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs have just been excellent in not only supporting the team but we know how much that those fans also support other agencies and works here in the City and it does take a team to see hunger dealt with.”
He adds, “This is a wonderful way for the team to be able to help us out as we’re getting closer to the Christmas season, to put some food on the shelves and to help us, help those, that are facing food insecurity.”
Domino’s Pizza, Gould’s BrandSource, Hoover Electric, and Calypso Hair Fashions are also involved in the campaign.
