It’s been a Fall to remember in northwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada senior climatologist David Phillips says, “What’s sort of interesting if you combine October with September, it’s a record. Never in the northwest part of Ontario have we ever had a warmer fall so far.”
The normal high for this time of year is 4.8 Celsius.
Over the next couple of days, our high will be twice that at 10 degrees.
Temperatures are expected to cool down to below normal levels starting on Sunday.
Phillips adds, “Precipitation has been what I would describe as fairly close to normal. Sometimes when the temperatures are warm you can get punished with either too much rain or too little rain. But it’s really been very close to normal.”
