The second annual Dryden Fall Fest comes to a close this weekend.
Organizer Laina Smith was a guest on the CKDR morning show today and says to bring your sweet tooth and wear your best costume.
“Trunk or Treat is at the Laura Howe Marsh Parking Lot on Halloween (Sunday) from 4-7pm. Trick or Treaters will go through the loop, it’s one way traffic and we’ll have about 20-30 trunks (of local businesses and organizations) there,” says Smith. “We would recommend you make sure your child brings a big bag because last year we did witness some over flowing buckets!”
Smith says candy donations are still being accepted.
“They can be dropped off at the Dryden Public Library and we ask that they be individually wrapped in unopened bags or boxes and when you do so you will get a sign for your front door instructing trick or treaters that your candy is at Trunk or Treat!”
For those who need a ride down to the marsh, My Lift will provide transportation every 30 minutes starting at 3:45pm with pick up points at our Saviour Lutheran Church in North Dryden, A&W, Patricia Gardens, the Go Getters and the Methodist Church.
If you’re looking for something else spooky to do, the Halloween Yard Décor Tour is posted at drydenfallfest.ca.
My Lift is doing the tour tonight (October 27) 5-7pm.
There are only two spots left per tour left on Wednesday. (3 tours in total)
To avoid people standing at the pick up spots and being left behind, you are now asked to pre-register by calling 223-3568 between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to book a service.
Riders must book in advance because space is limited.
Saturday night (October 30), Fall Fest is also paying for the first 100 children at the Sunset Drive In Theatre’s showing of ‘The Addams Family 2’.
