The Medical Officer of Health for the Northwestern Health Unit says a campaign by the Ministry of Health to phone anyone who isn’t vaccinated is paying off.
Dr. Kit Young says in our area 96% of the calls have been made and nearly 200 people booked an appointment as a result.
In the meantime, Dr. Young Hoon says there are walk-in clinics scheduled across the region this week, including Dryden Wednesday at the Best Western Plus from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm.
Although numbers are low in our region, she stresses we can’t let our guard down and is asking everyone to keep an open mind.
“I am hopeful that people will take the time to speak to a health care provider if you have concerns about the vaccine and make sure you’re making an informed decision on getting that vaccine.”
