The active COVID case count in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area is down to one.
That’s in the Rainy River District.
There were no new positives Tuesday.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kit Young Hoon says more than 127,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far.
She notes 88.5% of those over the age of 12 have at least one dose, while 82.4% have both shots.
Dr. Young Hoon notes, “For those who are still needing their first or second dose, I highly encourage you to talk to your health care provider or use an available consultation service.”
She stresses there is plenty of support out there if people have questions or concerns about the vaccine.
There are now 15 active cases in the the Thunder Bay District.
Ontario is reporting 269 new cases and 6 COVID-related deaths today.
