The City of Dryden is seeking input on two community/business and official plan surveys.
The feedback will the municipality better prepare and handle future growth.
Special Projects and Communication Manager Marshalina Reader talks about the ultimate goal.
“Identify what is required for and of the community to best achieve the vision and mission of the communities strategic plan. The studies are also going to include population projections and various economic development scenarios.”
She adds, “It’s hoped that this data can support the strategic planning efforts of local businesses and enterprises, other organizations such as the Kenora District Services Board, the Northwestern Health Unit, really any other corporation looking to develop, grow or expand their businesses.”
Reader notes the surveys will look at a number of areas including community competitiveness, culture, tourism, diversity, commercial and industrial assets and development, health, safety, wellness, housing, municipal services and facilities, transportation and business development.

Feedback will be accepted until November 1.
