A rough second period cost the Dryden GM Ice Dogs in a key game in Fort Frances Wednesday night.
The Lakers scored three times in the frame to upset the Ice Dogs 4-3 earning them their first win of the SIJHL season.
Maxime Collette accounted for all three Dryden goals, giving him 10 on the young season and the league lead in both goals and points.
The game was tied 3-3 until Tristan Takats was tagged for a high sticking minor with under three minutes to play.
Ethan Carlson-Jourdain ended things less than a minute later with the powerplay winner.
Fort Frances outshot Dryden GM 33-29.
