The Kenora District Services Board is conducting a bi-annual homelessness survey across the region.
Today, officials are doing point in time surveys in Dryden and Sioux Lookout.
The first session is underway at the KDSB Ontario Works Office (20 King Street) until 3:30pm, with another session on 11:30am-1pm at the Dryden Native Friendship Centre (74 Queen Street) and 1pm-3pm at the Dryden Regional Mental Health Conference Room (58 Goodall Street).
In Sioux Lookout, a session is on at the Out of the Cold Program (15 Fair Street) until 8pm and at the Nishnawbe Gamik Friendship Centre (52 King Street) until 4pm.
Tomorrow, a survey will be done at Ignace’s Ontario Works Office (312 Pine Street) from 10am-2pm
The survey is to get feedback in order to provide better programs and services to people experiencing homelessness.
Individuals who take part will get a gift card as a thank-you.
