MP’s will return to the House of Commons in just over a month.
The prime minister announced last Friday the new session will begin on November 22.
Kenora MP Eric Melillo says as far as he knows, the first weeks of the next sitting will be in-person.
“For at least the first few days we will be back in Ottawa in person until another agreement can be reached,” says Melillo.
“It’s not sure about what that will look like quite yet, but I think there’s a desire from all parties to meet in person and do our work the way it was intended to get done.”
Melillo adds he’s glad the prime minister is finally calling the house back after the election back in September.
“I think that’s a little bit late. I think we should be there right now, doing the work we need to do, but I’m excited to know we will be getting back and have a least a few weeks of sitting before the winter break.”
The last session was a hybrid model with some MP’s attending virtually and others in-person in the House of Commons.
