Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation has made a sizeable donation to the Dryden Native Friendship Centre.
For the second year in a row the WLON Bannock Burger Fundraiser was an overwhelming success raising $23,000, surpassing last year’s donation by $7,000.
The event was September 10, coordinated once again by Cindy Shabaquay and Tyson Gardner, where community members volunteered their time and cooking skills.
WLON raised $1,130 and the following businesses and organizations generously matched the donation.

Cheryl Edwards, Executive Director of the Dryden Native Friendship Centre says she’s extremely thankful for the funding that will continue to support the vulnerable population that DNFC serves.
