The Red Lake Miners will see the Kam River Fighting Walleye for the first time in franchise history this weekend.
The Miners host the Fighting Walleye for a two game series starting tonight at 7:30 at the Cochenour Arena.
This is only the second game of the season for Kam River as they haven’t played since earning a victory at home on September 18.
The Miners are 1-2 at the Cochenour this season, while the Fighting Walleye are hitting the road for their first time.
Red Lake is also tied for third in the SIJHL with five points.
Also in action, the Thunder Bay North Stars play their long awaited home opener against the Wisconsin Lumberjacks.
