It is time for Dryden area residents to think about curling.
The Sunday night league is set to open October 17 at the Memorial Arena.
Trevor Szmon says this is a fun and social league.
“We’ve had beginners put in whole teams and we’ve helped them with instruction and game strategy. So, it is not a competitive league by any stretch of the imagination. We are out there to have some fun.”
Teams can be mixed with men, women, junior and senior players.
Szmon says anyone is welcome to take part.
Curling brooms and sliders are provided in case you don’t have your own equipment.
Szmon says all you need to bring is a clean pair of shoes so dirt is not tracked onto the ice.
Eighteen teams will be accepted and for registration information call or text Trevor at 216-6950.
Entry is $837 per team and you can have as many players as you like.
Juniors are 40% less at $502 per team.
The Dryden Memorial Arena requires all participants be fully vaccinated.
Masks are required entering the building but not on the ice surface.
