No injuries following a bizarre incident in North Caribou Lake.
Provincial Police say last Wednesday afternoon an off-duty officer answered their door to find someone requesting their assistance.
The officer discussed the situation and possible options and the individual returned to their vehicle.
The officer noticed the individual was upset and walked to the driver’s side door to speak to them and while in mid-conversation, the driver placed the vehicle in reverse, striking the officer.
An investigation found the driver had been drinking.
An attempt was made to arrest the individual but they resisted and attempted to assault the officer.
A second officer exited the residence to help make the arrest.
OPP say a 46-year-old from North Caribou Lake faces four charges.
Earlier the same day, an 18 year old was charged with impaired driving following an early morning incident.
Provincial Police responded to a disturbance call in the OPP Detachment parking lot.
While speaking to one of the drivers, officers determined they had been drinking.
