Mixed results for local teams as the Superior International Junior Hockey League enters week two.
In Fort Frances: The Dryden GM Ice Dogs offence came to life after being blanked a week ago as they downed the Lakers 9-2 Friday night.
Captain Cameron Ware led the way with a three goal effort, while Maxime Collette had another strong showing against Fort Frances with 2-goals and 2-assists.
Collette recorded two goals against Fort Frances in the season opening game.
Also scoring for Dryden GM, Chase Muswagon, Ian Kimble, Brayden MacKay, and Derek Koivisto.
The Ice Dogs dominated with a 42-21 advantage in shots over Fort Frances.
Dylan Kosik picked up the victory for his second straight victory.

Brady Harroun once again led the Red Lake attack with two more goals.
He now has four on the young season.

The Miners did have the edge in shots with a 28-27 advantage.
