The Red Lake Miners are off to a good start to the new Superior International Junior Hockey League season.
The Miners took advantage of home ice to smoother the visiting Dryden GM Ice Dogs 3-0 Saturday night.

The Miners would ice the game with a Nic Bolin power-play goal with about three to play.
Kiev Kenishshanko picked up the victory with a 21 save effort.

In other SIJHL action, the Kam River Fighting Walleye doubled up the Thunder Bay North Stars 4-2, while the Wisconsin Lumberjacks edged Thief River Falls 2-1.
