Two people are confirmed dead following a collision on Highway 11/17 at Sistonen’s Corner.
Officers say the crash occurred Saturday night around 10:17.
Provincial Police say a westbound tractor trailer unit on Highway 102 had struck a pick-up truck hauling a fifth wheel trailer travelling eastbound on Hwy 11-17.
The passenger of the transport, 38 year old Ahmed Omer of Calgary, Alberta was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 38 year old Parmohit Chaudhary of Acton, Ontario was transported to hospital with critical injuries where he was later pronounced deceased.
The four occupants of the pick-up truck were transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
OPP say a six year old child was flown to London, Ontario for further evaluation.
