A spokesperson with the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce feels local businesses are missing guidance with the new provincial COVID vaccine passport plan.
You will need to be double vaccinated by September 22 to access certain events and businesses including indoor dining.
Charla Robinson says while Ontario doesn’t have the authority to force employers to get their employees vaccinated, two departments do play a role in the policy.
“The Ministry of Labour. They are the ones that set up all of the workplace guidelines for health and safety. The Ministry of the Attorney General that puts in place what you can and can’t do.”
Robinson does approve the concept, stating it will help keep businesses open and keep the economy going.
