The People’s Party of Canada will be running a candidate in the Kenora Riding.
Craig Martin is an acupuncturist in Kenora.
He says the People’s Party is different from the Conservative Party of Canada.
“Conservative Party has moved very Liberal, especially over the last year, and they don’t seem to want to hold up the values that Canadians hold true to themselves.”
Martin adds the traditional parties don’t represent the values of Canadians.
“We can take our communities into consideration when we’re trying to work against the COVID-19. There’s a lot of different ways of doing it. Certainly, a regional opening would have been welcome here.”
Martin notes, “Didn’t really want to get involved with politics and then the way that politics in our country has gone for the last several years actually, pushed me in the direction of wanting to get down to Ottawa and stand up for the people of our community.”
Martin will run alongside David Bruno from the Liberals, Remi Rheault of the Green Party, Janine Seymour representing the NDP, and incumbent Conservative Eric Melillo.
