Provincial Police in the northwest region laid more than 200 charges for various traffic offences during an enforcement blitz in mid-July.
Operation Safe Driver targeted motorists engaged in risky behaviours while behind the wheel.
The number one offence was speeding, with 137 charges laid.
Seventeen of those charges related to drivers of commercial vehicles.
Other local stats:
-Five people were caught for not wearing their seatbelt or wearing it incorrectly.
-Four were nabbed for distracted driving.
-Four commercial vehicles were taken off the road for various reasons.
-OPP also laid 13 charges against commercial drivers related to their documents.
