A wildland firefighter has died while on duty in Northwestern Ontario.
The province’s Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services confirmed the death on its Twitter page.
It says the unnamed person was a contract firefighter who suffered a medical emergency last Thursday.
The person passed away after being transported to hospital.
