Calls and charges stay about the same last week for the Dryden Police Service.
In their Weekly Calls for Service Update, police responded to 165 Calls for Service and 17 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code.
From July 5 to 11, some of the calls officers attended to include:
• Property Crime – 9
• Crime against Person – 10
• Police Assist/Assist Public – 29
• Mental Health – 13
• Traffic Complaints/Enforcement – 8
• Foot Patrol/Property checks – 11
• Liquor Licence Act – 13
• Suspicious Persons – 15
• Other – 67
There was no significant increase or decrease among the different call categories compared to the previous update.
Overall, in their previous report there were 171 calls and nine charges laid.
