There is no rain in the forecast for the foreseeable future as 71 fires continue to burn.
A total of 22 are considered not under control.
Six are being held, 19 fires have been contained and 24 are being observed.
Despite the hot and dry conditions, only three new wildfires were reported Thursday.
The Ministry has its eye on two wildfires of note in the region.
One is burning 13 kilometres south for the far north community of Bearskin Lake First Nation.
It sparked late Wednesday.
The 193 hectare blaze is not under control and waterbombers have been attacking it.
The ministry says communication with the community is ongoing.
Kenora 51, located about 100 kilometres northwest of Kenora, has grown to 31,673 hectares in size.
Officials says the fire continues to grow and 12 crews are assigned to the blaze.
