From top to bottom, the Dryden GM Ice Dogs are looking at a deep team for the 2021-2022 season.
Head Coach and General Manager Kurt Walsten says about 90% of their team from last year is coming back.
Walsten says on paper they look good right now with good size, good skating and good recruiting.
“Not only are they good players that can play in this league, their character and everything in the room is really good, so that’s almost a full roster right there coming back.”
Walsten notes, “The good thing when you have depth is, you’re holding everyone accountable, and if someone’s not working hard, someone is going to eat up their minutes. So, for us this year, we have the most depth we’ve ever had is right now.”
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are preparing for their 20th season in the Superior International Junior Hockey League.
