Some reprieve for the Dryden Police Service over the past week.
In their Weekly Calls for Service update from June 28 to July 4, local officers responded to 171 calls and laid nine charges under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code.
Calls Dryden Police attended included:
• Property Crime – 6
• Crime against Person – 10
• Police Assist/Assist Public – 27
• Mental Health – 12
• Traffic Complaints/Enforcement – 4
• Foot Patrol/Property checks – 10
• Liquor Licence Act – 4
• Suspicious Persons – 14
• Other – 84
Property crimes, traffic complaints and calls regarding the liquor licence act were down, while calls for police assistance and mental health were up with other call categories stayed around the same.
In their previous weekly update, police responded to 199 calls and laid 17 charges.
