High school and college students across the region are able to attend the virtual Leap leadership program taking place at UCLA.
In the past, only a few students could go to California due to the cost.
Local organizer Jarod Milko says this year, they have a special promo code reducing the cost.
“People who want to attend Virtual Leap Week, typically it costs $449.” explains Milko.
“You know we’ve been to the program several times before, become very good friends with the founder of the program, and is offering us a promotion, where the cost is $100.”
You can use the promo code: KENORA to register for the program.
Milko adds the conference has had a number of high-profile speakers including Chris Paul, Paula Abdul, and Dennis Quaid, just to name a few.
“It’s a really neat program because people who attend the program, they work with a coach in a group, and there is a curriculum. So they all get their Leap curriculum and so much of that curriculum is reflected in the stories of these very prominent speakers.”
Milko says the goal of the program is to create well-balanced leaders for tomorrow.
Some topics that will be covered throughout the program include; goal setting, time management, self confidence, mentorship, effective communication, gratitude, college prep, test prep, how to land a job and many others.
