Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout confirm that Fabian Vincent of Lac Seul First Nation has been found deceased.
The 49 year old was reported missing from Lac Seul on June 20.
Police say they found human remains near Whitefish Bay, Lac Seul on June 26.
A post mortem exam was conducted in Toronto on July 1 and Vincent’s identity was confirmed.
The cause of death remains undetermined, pending toxicology results.
The investigation by the Sioux Lookout OPP, Lac Seul Police and OPP Forensic Identification Service is continuing under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario, and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
There are no concerns for public safety at this time.
