The number of active COVID cases has dropped by half.
There are now five being reported by the Northwestern Health Unit, down from 10 Thursday. (Health Hubs: Two in Kenora. Two in Rainy River. One in Sioux Lookout)
Two new positives were recorded Friday, one in the Kenora area and the other in Rainy River.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting just one new case and that was related to travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.
There are four active cases in that area.
The two day Ontario count is 484 cases and 28 COVID-related deaths.
