Weekly calls for service and charges laid didn’t change much for the Dryden and Ignace OPP.
In their weekly report, Provincial Police responded to 165 calls and laid 55 charges under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code from Monday June 21 to Sunday June 27.
Some of the calls Police attended were;
- Traffic Complaints – 19
- Police Assistance – 11
- Animal Compliant – 10
- Assault – 1
- Break and Enter- 1
- Domestic Dispute- 2
- Impaired/Over 80 – 1
- Mental Health Act – 4
- Motor Vehicle Collision – 6
- Traffic Hazzard – 6
- Trespass to Property – 2
- Theft – 2
Traffic complaints led the way in call volumes for the second week in a row, while most call categories stayed about the same with the exception of animal complaints, as there were none recorded in the OPP’s previous report.
In their previous report, police responded to a total of 160 calls and laid 65 charges.
