Hydro One and the Society of United Professionals have reached a tentative settlement.
The 2-year deal covers about 1,800 engineers, supervisors and administrators.
Union members will learn more about the agreement in the coming days, with a vote expected by the end of July.
Wages were believed to be at the heart of negotiations.
Hydro One President and CEO Mark Poweska says they are pleased to reach an agreement that reflects their shared commitment to energize life for their customers and communities.
Michelle Johnston is President of the Society of United Professionals and admits it was a challenging round of bargaining but believes a fair deal was achieved.
She says, “This agreement provides stability as Ontarians turn their minds to pandemic recovery and demonstrates a renewed commitment by both parties to work together to ensure Hydro One and its employees continue to thrive.”
