The clean-up is underway this morning after a quick but violent storm blew through the region Wednesday night.
Several communities were hit with high winds and driving rain resulting in multiple power outages in the Dryden and Sioux Lookout areas.
Some 356 Hydro One customers are still without power in the Oxdrift, Eagle Lake and Eton Rugby areas, with a handful in Dryden also impacted.
Another 405 customers in the Frenchman’s Head area are also in the dark, with a handful of people affected along the Highway 599 corridor going to Savant Lake.
Hydro One reports it could be 3:00pm before power is restored.
Provincial Police in the Sioux Lookout area are asking the public to refrain from non-essential outings as hydro crews are clearing roadways of downed power lines and trees.
Municipal officials are still assessing damages across down but there are reports of some damage to the roof of the Municipal Office and major damage to the library roof.
The roof on one of the buildings at the Sunset Inn lifted off completely.
Damage to trees, barns, sheds and other property is reported all across the impacted areas.
