Municipality of Sioux Lookout
The Sioux Lookout area received a brunt of Wednesday night’s massive wind and rain storm.
The clean-up of debris, damaged property, downed trees, and destroyed roof tops continues today.
Sioux Lookout’s Hidden Lake Landfill is normally closed Thursday’s, but will be open until 4:00pm to accept trees and brush only.
Household waste won’t be accepted today.
Municipal officials are still assessing the damage.
There are reports of some damage to the roof of the Municipal Office and major damage to the library roof.
The roof on one of the buildings at the Sunset Inn lifted off completely.
