Dryden Police have arrested a 22 year old man in connection with a mailbox theft investigation.
Around 10 am on Thursday June 17, police responded to a report of a man trespassing in the 300 block of St. Charles Street, who was also a suspect in the theft of mail from local mailboxes.
The suspect was also known to police as wanted for several outstanding charges.
When police arrived, the suspect fled into a wooded area.
A short time after a foot chase, the suspect was arrested on Memorial Avenue.
Jonathon Ross Hendrickson of Dryden is charged with:
- Resist Peace Officer x 2
- Possession of Forged document with intent x 3
- Make forged document
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x 3 (Cheques & laptop Computer)
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2
Police say an outstanding arrest warrant was also executed for Assault with a Weapon from an incident on May 23 in Dryden.
Hendrickson remains in custody and was in a bail hearing today (Friday).
