To start the week, the Northwestern Health Unit reports one new case of COVID-19 Monday.

Three active cases are in the Kenora region, one in the Rainy River region and with today’s new result one in the Dryden/Red Lake region.
Health officials say due to our low case numbers, they will be reporting cases by larger areas again. Full statement from the health unit below:
“Due to recent low case numbers, NWHU must move back to reporting by 4 larger areas to protect the privacy of individuals. Information about case location combined with the demographic information released by the Ministry of Health could lead to the identification of individuals in some of our small communities. We are legally obligated under PHIPA to not release any information to the public that may identify an individual. Thank you for understanding and respecting our residents’ privacy.”
Meanwhile there are six new cases of COVID-19 in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
The number Monday puts their active case count at 33.
Ontario is reporting 447 cases, which is its lowest daily case count since September 26th.
