A major repaving project begins Monday in the City of Dryden.
Miller Northwest will be conducting asphalt repairs all week on Highway 17 between Marguerite Street to the East Welcome Sign.
Public Works Manager Blake Poole says to reduce traffic congestion and disruptions to businesses, repairs will be completed between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. daily.
Motorists can expect temporary delays as a result.
Poole says you can also anticipate abnormal amounts of noise and other inconveniences.
“We haven’t had any complaints in the past, especially on the highway during at night, which we have done before. Their pit tends to be fairly quiet. We haven’t had complaints over that before. If we run into some complaints I’m sure Miller would work with us to deal with it as well.”
Miller has received a temporary exemption from Noise and Pit restrictions in order to carry out the paving operation.
The work is expected to end in the morning of Saturday, June 19.
