The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting one new confirmed case of COVID-19 Friday morning.
The case, which comes from the Sioux Lookout health hub, is the first case reported by the NWHU since May 30.
The regional health authority says they are currently monitoring three active cases, which is down from the six active cases reported on Thursday.
Two of those cases are in the Sioux Lookout area while the other comes from the Kenora hub.
The health unit says that to date they’ve administered 56,946 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit continues to see a slight uptick with 21 new positives and 75 actives.
There were 914 cases across the province as well as 19 COVID related deaths.
