The wait is almost over for some 40 full time staff employed by the Kenora District Services Board.
Construction of the new state-of-the-art administration building in the heart of downtown Dryden is complete and the move will be Monday.
The KDSB office at 20 King Street will be ready to serve families, individuals, and seniors starting at 1:00pm June 7.
The office will continue to operate weekdays from 9 until 3:30.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall stresses the building is something everyone can be proud of, calling it a jewel of the downtown core.
Wall says, “We want to thank Dave McKay Construction and Nelson Architecture Inc. for designing and creating this beautiful, welcoming, and open space for those in the community accessing our services. Our team will continue to assist individuals in Financial and Employment supports, Early Years and Child Care Services, and Housing Services from the new location.”
The project was made possible thanks to funding from both levels of senior government with minimal impact on Dryden taxpayers.
KDSB’s Northwest EMS staff will remain on-site at 211 Princess Street until the new Dryden Ambulance Base building is completed at the old Moose Hall site.
