It was a quiet weekend on the forest fire front across northwestern Ontario.
There were only two new starts.
One is being observed at 4 hectares near Musclow Lake, about 85 kilometres northwest of Red Lake.
The second was Saturday near Redditt.
There are 12 active fires in the region and none are considered out of control.
One is being observed, seven are being held and four fires are under control.
The fire hazard is mainly low to moderate in the region, with pockets of high in the Fort Frances district, but hot and dry weather is in the forecast for the entire week.
