A second straight day of record low temperatures.
Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says Friday morning’s chill saw four new records and one tie for the 28th of May.
Fort Frances was the cold spot at -4.9, beating the old mark of -3 set in 1984.
Thunder Bay at one point hit -4.6, eclipsing the previous record of -3.3 reached in 1947.
Red Lake hit -3.5, surpassing the 1947 record of -2.8.
Dryden was just below freezing at -0.3.
The previous low was +0.5 in 2004.
Sioux Lookout reached -2.8, a tie with 1947’s marker.
