Kids 12 years of age and older can book an appointment to get vaccinated this weekend.
The province is expanding its COVID-19 vaccine booking as of 7:00 am (Central) Sunday morning and you will be able to get an appointment through the online booking system and call centre.
The Northwestern Health Unit confirms on their COVID-19 vaccine booking webpage this will apply to their clinics.
Youth over age 12 can also get immunized at select pharmacies as well.
They will only be able to receive the Pfizer vaccine, since it’s the only vaccine Health Canada has approved for patients over age 12.
They must be 12 years when the appointment its booked.
The province says it’s hit this milestone ahead of schedule.
The province expects to reach all youth aged 12 and over with a first dose before the end of June and with a second dose by the end of August 2021.
By the end of May, over 2,400 pharmacies will be offering Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.
