A popular summer festival won’t be happening again this year.
Harbourfest in Kenora has been cancelled.
Organizers were supposed to celebrate the 30th Anniversary this year.
Spokesperson Heather MacMurphy says it was a difficult but necessary decision.
She says its been quite a year and although we all hoped the COVID pandemic would be over by the August long weekend, it became more than evident that there was no way they could have a large gathering this year.
MacMurphy says the good news is that all six of the bands that were supposed to play last year, then this year will be back in 2022.
Next year’s Harbourfest is scheduled to take place July 29 to 31.
Here is the line-up for next years festival:
Friday, July 29, 2022 – Econoline Crush & Finger Eleven
Saturday, July 30th, 2022 – The Wild! & One Bad Son
Sunday, July 31st, 2022 – The Darby Mills Project & Toque
The Harbourfest committee says all tickets purchased for 2020/21 will be valid for 2022.
Current ticket purchasers will have their existing tickets rolled over.
More information regarding the rescheduling of the festival and ticket options will be available at Harbourfest Kenora
