Porter Airlines is once again resetting its tentative date for resuming flights to July 20.
The company previously set June 21, as the hopeful restart date.
Operations were temporarily suspended on March 21, 2020, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
However, President and CEO Michael Deluce says he’s hopeful travel restrictions and public health measures will ease with vaccination rates on the rise across the country.
He says it’s also encouraging to see the recovery of the aviation industry in the United States.
The airline continues to prepare to introduce enhanced health and safety measures for its return to service.
Porter is waiving change and cancellation fees on all fares and vacation packages booked between today and July 20.
