Tuition fees at Ontario’s colleges and universities are being frozen for another year.
The minister in charge, Ross Romano, says financial uncertainty due to the pandemic underscores the need to keep post-secondary programs affordable.
Romano adds, “By freezing tuition our government is continuing to reduce the financial strain on families’ pocketbooks.”
Rates were frozen for the 2020-21 school year after a 10% reduction the year before.
Romano notes the government’s action has provided students with tuition relief of approximately $450 million annually when compared to tuition costs in 2018-19.
