The Kenora Health Hub has been hit hard by COVID-19.
Twelve new positive tests are reported today.
Two more were recorded in the Fort Frances area, while one each occurred in the Atikokan, Emo and Sioux Lookout regions.
The Northwestern Health Unit currently has 72 active cases in the Health Hubs; Kenora: 31, Fort Frances: 17, Emo: 12, Dryden: 4, Sioux Lookout 4, Red Lake: 2, Rainy River: 1, Atikokan: 1
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting 61 active cases after five new positives Wednesday.
One case resulted in someone travelling outside northwestern Ontario.
Ontario recorded 3,480 cases and 24 COVID-related deaths.
