Child care workers will soon be able to get their COVID-19 vaccine.
Starting Thursday April 29, those who work in a licensed child care setting will be eligible to book an appointment through the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line 1-833-943-3900 or directly through Northwestern Health Unit
Eligible workers will receive a letter from their employer and that letter must be available at the point of booking and taken to the vaccination appointment.
The province says shots will be expanded to child care workers in unlicensed child care settings in the coming weeks.
Minister of Education Stephen Lecce says Ontario’s child care workers are making a difference and supporting working parents at this critical time and that’s why the vaccination program is being expanded to include them.
Lecce adds our child care centres are safe and the expansion of vaccines will further protect children and staff.
