Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout have charged a Kasabonkia Lake First Nation resident, who was found transporting drugs into the Municipality Tuesday night.
With the assistance of Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay’s Crime unit, police made an arrest at the airport where they found and seized suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of around $28,000, as well as over $7,000 in Canadian cash.
Following an investigation, 27 year old Billy Stoney Junior is charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime, over $5,000
- Failure to Comply with Release Order
Police say they accused remains in custody and is set to appear in Kenora Court later this month to answer to these charges.
