The Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce likes some of the measures contained in the recent federal budget.
Spokesperson Charla Robinson says they support the promise to make FedNor a stand-alone agency giving it its own mandate and budget..
She says, “That’s something all of the Chambers have been advocating for over many years.”
Robinson adds its good news the federal government is planning to extend the pandemic wage and rent subsidies into September, but she feels those programs might be needed longer.
