Municipal workers in Ear Falls have a new contract.
The Unifor members have voted 100% in favour of the four-year deal that impacts 15 inside and outside workers employed with the Township.
Highlights include a 9% wage hike over the life of the contract, new $1,000 orthodontic coverage, $50 increase in annual boot allowance, $25 in vision care, as well as a hike in daily meal allowance.
Local union national representative Stephen Boon says they were pleased to participate in another respectful set of negotiations with council and administration in Ear Falls.
The contract is retroactive to April 1 and expires on March 31, 2025.
